About the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
ResQTM is in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) frequency standard supported by every major pet welfare organization in the United States, including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)1.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is comprised of the United States (ANSI) and over 140 other nations that work together to develop compatible technology standards worldwide.
ISO regulates conformity assessment standards for commonly used items such as credit cards, and has developed global standards for microchip technology. These technology standards are helping to reunite lost pets with their owners worldwide.
- In the United States, roughly six to eight million pets enter an animal shelter annually.1
- According to the National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy (NCPPSP), fewer than 15% of these pets are ever reunited with their pet parents.2
